Breakfast. Today we offer you a half-day city tour in Bordeaux (about 3 hours). With a privileged location on the banks of the River Garonne, Bordeaux is one of France’s most captivating and dynamic cities. The eighteenth century was the golden age of the city. Then most of the buildings in the city center, including those on the quay of the Garonne River, were built. In recent years, emblematic buildings have been built by famous architects such as Citas du Vin (wine museum) and Jean-Jacques Bosc bridge. We will start the pedestrian tour in the historic center with one of the most prestigious monuments in Bordeaux: the theater built in the 19th century. eighteenth century, after which we will discover the pleasure of a ride on the banks of the Garonne River. We will see the stock market, which became the emblem of the city and the cathedral of St. George. Andre who was consecrated in the 19th century. the 11th century, although much of the construction that we can see today dates from the 14th and 15th centuries. Return to the hotel.

Breakfast. Today we offer an optional trip outside Bordeaux, in Saint Emilion. Surrounded by vineyards, the medieval city of Saint Emilion is a delight for the eyes. The name of the picturesque UNESCO heritage town comes from a monk who, according to legend, would have fled to a cave in this area in the 19th century. VIII. Built around the 12th-century cathedral, which is made of limestone blocks, the village is a bunch of streets flanked by historic stone buildings. After a pedestrian tour in Saint Emilion along with the local guide, we will stop at a chateau for a wine tasting. Return to Bordeaux and accommodation.

Breakfast. Optional excursion in Arcachon Bay, a fascinating place with diverse landscapes: ports, oyster farms, sandy beaches, pine forests and the highest sand dune in Europe. We will take an hour and a half boat ride along with the local guide in the Arcachon basin. We will travel to the heart of the Arcachon basin where a wild universe is waiting for us, half the water and half of the surface of the water; the basin is a sanctuary for many bird species. We will see the fishermen’s nets, representative of this basin and oyster farms that occupy more than 100 ha and Cap Ferret peninsula. We will end the boat ride with a lasting view of the Arcachon Bay and the typical villas, witnesses of the prestigious past. Next we will stop at the Great Dune of Pilate – the largest sand dune in Europe, with a height of 110 m. Duna is in a continuous process of formation and modification, and behind it is a huge forest of pin. We will have the time to climb the dune and admire the view of the Atlantic Ocean. Return to Bordeaux and accommodation.

Breakfast. Optional excursion to the Perigord Noir region, a region of France rich in picturesque villages, magnificent castles and caves with prehistoric paintings. At the Lascaux caves there is a cave complex of approx. 600 cave paintings representing large animals. The paintings were made in the late Paleolithic period, about 17,000 years ago. The caves were accidentally discovered by a young Frenchman in 1940. Next, we will visit the medieval town of Sarlat at Caneda, which has developed around a Benedictine monastery. The visit of this town is like a foray into the past, because modern history has bypassed this city. Sarlat has remained one of the most representative cities of France in the 14th century, and in the central square of the city we can enjoy local delicacies such as foie gras and cheese.
